Module 9 flips the deepfake problem inside out. Everyone worries about fake footage fooling you. The subtler damage is the opposite: once fakes are plausible, real evidence can be dismissed with two words. 'That's fake' now ends arguments the way a gavel used to.
That payoff is the liar's dividend. The guilty don't need to prove the tape is doctored — they only need you to doubt. A man drowns standing up in a kitchen, the evidence is right there on the counter, and 'could be fake' is enough to walk it up to a podium and shrug it into 'both sides.'
